Recent pickup on ebay. Am I correct in saying the 4 in the date is backwards? Any ideas would be appreciated

not sure if backwards or rotated. I have seen some older coins not with a modern 4, but with a Gothic 4. It almost looked like a table, or an X with line at top.

could be backwards then. I have seen some "modern" coins with the 8 upside-down.
