Here's pics of my 1827 O.148 Bust Half with multiple errors. Struck slightly offcenter, double struck (see circled areas on obv) and reverse brokage ( see star circled on rev) Most 1827 O.148 pieces have multiple errors. It is thought that the Minter took his spoiled planchets, rejects, and decided to make good coins out of them at this time...

Glorious coin, and a serious stopper for the date. That's a major piece in any collection, and must have set you back a rather significant number.

WOW! Incredible it lasted so ong in circulation before being pulled, though back then .¢50 was a lot more money to most people than today. Super score!

I'm thinking of having it slabbed. It is original and will grade & slab. I don't know if they would write on the slab that its double struck and has reverse brokage. Its really not offcenter enough to be labeled as such.. I also have an 1827 O.137 that's an original Fine that would also grade and slab. I may submit them both in person at the next summer FUN show....
