Back in America I have a quarter 1980's or 90's, pre-state quarters that has an interesting feature. The "T" on the front looks like a blob with the saying looking like "In God We Rust" Is this an error or just a freak? Does it have any value? I'm sorry I have no pic or exact date but I am in China and the coin is back stateside. I was reading a list of Jefferson nickel errors and thought about the coin. Thanks for any info.

Sounds like a die chip or Struck Through Grease.
