I posted an idem that I picked up in trade. I member thought it was neat and that got me wondering.

1) How common is Letter transfer to the Obverse on an Indian cent?

I have seen clashes before on a good number of them, I just never noticed any Letter. The one in Question as the "C" in Cent running out of the nose.

I do not what to add a photo as that would be an conflict. But if you look up other things I have posted you will find it. I will let Mom, Dad or Super Dave make the call as to if a photo can be added here.

Thanks for your opinions

It's always better with a picture.

I'm going to alter your thread title a bit to attract more specialized attention.

Die clashes on IHCs where the O from ONE & the C from Cent can be seen on the obverse, are fairly common.

Don't for get there are mule clashes as well, and these bring a considerable amount more money. Mule Clashed = Clashed with another denomination. The FE have Seated quarter and $20.00 Gold clashes, the 2¢ piece with the Indian cent of 1864, but an IHC with a 2¢ piece clash has never been found, yet!

Clashed coins are almost a subset of collecting in itself, see http://www.maddieclashes.com for a bunch more info on clashes.

Yeah, they are common but very rarely you can find one that shows the full wreath west of the portrait. Those are desirable to those who like clashes. Well said, westcoin- no IHC multidenominational clashes have been found. Keep looking!
