I bought a bunch of about 1100 pennies dating from 1880s-1967 mainly Georgian. Most are in average condition but some worse and some better ,some of the more uncommon ones but no 1933 Lol . I paid 13 pound for them and would like to know if I done well?(btw I bought them at a boot sale so no postage cost) Thanks John Edited by Johnsderry 04/30/2013 5:42 pm

Quote: How much is 13 pounds in dollars? Around $20.25 USD or $20.33 CAD. Quote: I paid 13 pound for them and would like to know if I done well? I would say that you did quite well as these sell for around $1-$1.50 each here in the US where I live.

That's a great deal. Worth easily x10 what you've payed, unless they are culls.

Bargain. At worst you are £13 down. You have a few happy hours going through them.

If you can find a 1903 'open 3' penny, you should be able to get back what you paid!

Woah small world!! No not greysteel, its on the other side of the river, do you know where bridgend is? It's literally on the border from Derry and Donegal about 25 minute drive from greysteel.Well if you get to there you'll see signs on the road and it's an indoor bootsale in a Warehouse next to a car dealer and yes there is a coin dealer there and it's on every Saturday and Sunday!(the truth is greysteel has more sellers and buyers ) Btw my mum and dad sell at the bootsale and so do I, so there is 2 coin dealers at it and I have regular coin buyers who come to me each week haha not bad for a 15 year old. There used to be a massive car boot sale in Antrim every Saturday that was quite good for picking up the odd piece. Nutts Corner market has went to the dogs and it's been years since I found anything worthwhile there. A friend of mine runs a coin stall in St. Georges market in Belfast every Friday morning - it's worth checking out.

A small world indeed johnsderry, and Bacchus2, the Antrim one is still on but it has moved to the Enkalon Carpark now thats about 2min drive from the old site. I hail from RANDALSTOWN which is 5 min from antrim. Nutts Corner on a sunday is total crap now apart from one coin dealer who is fairly reasonable with his prices.
