The Coin Red Book mentions in a foot note that the 1928-S and 1941-S Wheat penny have two varieties, the large and small Mint Mark, both have the large mint mark as less common.

I have attempted a lengthly search online and have found no one with pictures of such coins. They almost seem to be a non collectable or at least not much interest.

Does anyone reading the forum have the different varieties and if so could you post an image or any info you know of?

Thanks

Ok these were pretty quick pictures but they came out ok ,, the size difference of the MM's is pretty obvious.

1928-S,-1941-S-Lg/Sm-S-Wheat-Penny

I have put together several circulated sets ,but only one set in BU,, they are not a collectable that extends above grade value to any real degree ,, that is why info is limited on them.

as a side note of interest ,the 41-S Mercury dime has the same large and small mint marks .

These are two circ coins of mine. I believe one each of the large and small mintmarks.
