May be 1970S-1DO-014P. Check here for die markers:

The mint mark is in a different location for it to be 014. You might want to post the images on Lincoln Cent Resource.com to see if interest is there for a possible new listing? The date look promising to me. The other images of LIBERTY could be tweaked a little. Possibly rotate the coin and take the image, then rotate the image back to horizontal. I'm not seeing what you are pointing out there. The Motto looks like Machine Doubling on the bottom of the devices there. There may be something going on the tops of the devices that are not show in the images of the motto?

When you say the MM is in a different location and I see what you mean looking at the coin above and then looking at the one off coppercoins. My thing is if the MM were done by hand how could the position of the MM be the same? Sorry if I asked this in your thread but I think it will help out the both of us because I'm still learning too.

The mint mark was applied by hand to the die making each die slightly different. The die for the 1970S-1DO-014P will produce coins with the mint mark always in the same location. If the mint mark on this coin is in a different location it's not from the same die. Hope I helped.

If it were applied to the coin, it would be incuse. DrDon got it right. The coins with the mint marks that are doubled dies, you can use the location of the mint mark to ID the correct die.

Using a business card on your monitor to see where the horizontal/vertical locations would help to eyeball it. I use this when it isn't real close. If it is, then I do the overlay.
