Hi Guys! Been doing some research and am ready to start adding RCM coins to my collection, I really like the proof gold and silver coins they have, such as the O Canada series and other issues, such as the upcoming new Bald Eagle silver proof. My question to my friends here, what suggestions do you have where to buy these from, what dealers? I noticed GateWest a couple months ago but after the thread, I really wonder if I would want to buy from them, I mean I am going to test them out, but who else is other? What has worked for you guys? thank you in advance! so I am open to suggestions. *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

Colonial Acres Coins have most of the RCM products and they do ship to United State. I think the shipping cost is around 15$.

Buy them at auction from sellers who've received their coins as gifts long after the buzz of what's new has completely died.

I have purchased RCM coins from Gatewest Coin for a number of years and have never had a problem with any order; all orders shipped to the US without issue.

I've purchased from Gatewest, Colonial Acres and Canadian Coin & Currency. All with no issues. Gatewest have a US priced site that is actually cheaper than the Canadian site in many cases. Frankly though, you will likely find RCM coins cheaper in the US especially via ebay...mostly because of shipping rates.

I strongly recommend Gatewest since they give you a discount if you are from the USofA.
Damian, their sales manager, is a honest and trustworthy person.
Make sure that you use a credit card with no forex charge. Gatewest will charge you out of its US facility but there is still a forex charge because it is based in Winnipeg.
However, you need to give the RCMint some of your business too because you need a rep to take care of you with sellouts every month.

CC-Ottawa is correct regarding ebay, but I will add one caveat. You often need to be patient, and this is something I lack, at least some of the time. The ebay prices truly are all over the place and I strongly advise anyone contemplating a purchase to first look at the "completed listings" to get an idea of a fair price for an item.

Just recently started to buy from Gatewest - no issues. Talisman Coins - additional possibility, in case if the coin sold-out everywhere. ebay - check first some members here, I saw very nice items from the previous years, that people listed.

thank you to everyone for your suggestions, I appreciate it, I am going to use the names you guys suggested. I will also look at ebay closer, I am in fact looking at one now on there. Will report back how it goes. I really like a lot of their products, the only thing I have had in my collection in the past years has been Maple leafs, but its been hard to decide what exactly to focus on with the RCM and also how I wanted to represent the RCM in my collection. thanks again guys!

oh one thing I forgot to ask How many of you like the RCM Masters Club? I was wondering if I should do some purchases with them first and try a few with dealers.....

For new releases I buy through the RCM Masters Club. It gives me at least the chance to get the 'hot' releases at issue price. Add in the free shipping and the convenience and time saving of getting them all in one place at the same time and, for me at least, that offsets the savings of buying them a couple of years down the road off ebay. For the new releases, sometimes you get them faster from the dealers but the RCM have been improving their shipping times from last year (when, in my opinion, they hit rock bottom!).
