An 1893CC morgan for $89 ? Language indicates an asian source, probably China. Shipping takes up to 25 Days? Coin in this condition? The seller has sold twenty already in two auctions of ten each and now has a new listing for 10 more, all the same date and cc mint. Is it possible this guy has 30 1893CC Morgans in the condition depicted? For those who buy this coin ... will they have recourse through ebay and paypal when the coin 1) never arrives 2) is not in the condition shown 3) turns out to be counterfeit What do you all think? http://www.ebay.com/itm/My-store-wa...em4ac443e5cf

Where do you see that he has sold twenty already in two auctions?

0 feedback and 10 available? Can't see that they've sold any, but I certainly wouldn't buy one. Says located in Baltimore, Maryland, United States, but there might be a way to bypass that...

Actually this makes three auctions of ten each - all with a different seller ID - all with the same ad text.

Didn't see your post. Something is definitely up. Same description, 3 different US locations, and 3 ID's with no feedback? Run for the hills!

Nothing new under the sun. We've been playing Whack-A-Mole with these people for quite a while now; they took a break but you can rest assured that ebay is so familiar with their MO that nobody will lose a cent. It's at the point where (even though we still do it) reporting them isn't really necessary.

I'd accuse them of being the dumbest animals on Earth, but they're not, actually. So little effort is involved on their part that they can afford to constantly spam ebay with this stuff, and even a single success will be sufficient return on investment. In the meantime, they just do whatever else they do to keep food on the table. The key is, as restrictive as China is with regard to certain other Internet activity, they pay no mind to this whatsoever. Eventually that will change but in the meantime it's on us. Thanks a bunch, about2. Random folks like yourself are part of the reason this is such a non-event.

Eventually that will change And that is where I have to say you are dead wrong Dave. The Chinese govt will do NOTHING to stop this. Never have and never will. It behooves them far too much to have this going on. As for the dealer, this really is boiler plate stuff for them. As Dave pointed out, this has been being seen for years now. At this point it is almost comical except that they DO snag people still.

I think ebay will get involve only if they don't get their fees paid. I know it's cynical, but it seems that they're mildly interested in bouncing scammers unless they get scammed.

I wish there was a way of warning potential bidders.
