Thank you very, very much for you explanation, GR58. It was a class to me, I could understand very clear. So if I try to use my Ace250 in dry sand in a beach, let´s say that maybe, just maybe I could have some acceptable results, or no?

Yes .. I think using your ACE 250 on the dry sand of the beaches and you should find targets. You should find coins .. and of course .. junk/trash targets. With some luck you might find some gold and silver targets.
For me .. on the dry sand part of the beaches. I find mostly pull tabs, bottle tops and foil. Then I would say coins. Once in a while a nice ring or watch.
But then if I remember right .. some of those ladies in Brazil like to wear lots of rings .. so you might find more rings.

Yeah, they like. But not only gold ones. Have you been here? Tell me where have you visited?

Gr 58 thinks again for all the great information. Nothing like feedback from someone that has been there and done it.

Yes ... Hawaii was great. Once I switched to the Whites PI, there were very few days I didn't get gold or platinum rings.
Trying to think of some of my better Hawaii finds 1 and 1/3 carat diamond (single stone) ring 18K gold ring with five 1/3 carat diamonds High end diamond and jade ring Breitling Watch $5.00 gold coin with gold necklace and bezel

Most modern machines fall into VLF TR machines (Very low frequency/Transmit-receive). VLF/TR detectors transmit and receive at the same time.
PI (pulse Induction). PI detectors - transmit the signal, stops the transmit, then receives the signal. So there is a pulse on and off .. transmit then receive. This type system is very good for salt water use .. but has no or very little discrimination.
GR58, Am I right if I say the top metal detectors can switch from VLF/TR to PI and vice versa in order to make things easy for the user or there is a most modern system for those ones?
