Lucy, you got some splainin' to do

Let's just say I want to buy one 25-Coin Mint Direct Tube for $772.50. Why wouldn't I buy 25 individual coins @ $28.39 each for a grand total of $709.75. I think $62.75 is a bit high for an empty plastic tube.

Theyre charging a premium for what I assume is an unopened uncherry picked tube of the coins

Doesn't MintDirect mean sealed from the Mint unopened unsorted through. I agree that is why the premium which from what I have seen is consistently high on all their MintDirect tubes.

BB---you got it. That's the price you pay for not settling for the scraps that are left over after APMEX is done feasting on the new coins they just got in.

One of the less endearing aspects of APMEXReality...

Personally, I have never got why there is anything special about any particular ASE. But I just view them as Bullion certified by the U.S. Government. If scraps are cheaper then I will take them.

That's sort of why I posted this in the first place. Bullion is bullion no matter how they present it.

Thats not true a "bullion" 2001 MS70 ASE just sold for well over 20k.

If all you want is the silver theres no difference in quality. But bullion is not just bullion according to the market.

Besides if bullion is just bullion why buy ASEs in the first place or the wild life coins. Private mints have much cheaper silver rounds and bars

Im not saying that its wrong to see it that way yourself and not want to pay extra for a higher quality coin, I'm just simply saying that its just not true that all bullion is equal. The simple price differences for them shows that

I just wanted to make sure that it was understood I am not attempting to criticize anyone's collecting decisions. Collecting is all about love and passion and that is an individual matter.
