I believe this coin is not being push till the fall which explained why the seller cancelled the ad. CA removed their ads, Gatewest is not accepting order and CCC also removed their ad for the coin as well

My dealer sent me an email informing me that the Mint has decided to push back the release date until fall. Production issues perhaps?

I received an email as a dealer stating that the coins were sent out in error and were not intended for this release. They will be available in the fall.

So my rep was wrong - not the first time I've been told something that was incorrect from a Mint rep. I'm always leery of quoting them or believing information that others report here that have a reference to 'my RCM rep told me' I assume they didn't give a reason for changing the release date? Just curious if it was production or marketing decision. We'll have to resurrect this thread in six months.

Called mint yesterday. They have no clue about the coin and they couldn't find it in their system.

Just curious if it was production or marketing decision. I would assume it is a marketing decision. The design of the coin seem simple enough and doesn't seem like there's any new technology in it to delay in production. I would presumme they want something for later releases.

Sorry - wasn't suggesting a production delay. More likely they are realizing that they have production capacity limits. If it was marketing then I'd ask why? Is there some reason this coin would be better suited to a fall release? I doubt they are lacking anything to release later in the year - still hundreds of coins to be issued. I'm sure we'll be getting at least one more round of "the anniversary of something obscure" coins in the next few months.

maybe they sent out a 'feeler' to gauge interest. when they re-release it in the fall it'll come out as a 5oz fine silver coin :)

The bigger the better for this coin to show all 100 Fu.
If it is 1 kg, I will have it sit in the middle of my living room.

Would be well timed for Chinese New Years around February 2014

On my side I was able to put an order on this coins with my rep... She told me that she do not see any issue with delays or production problems...
