On teletrade. Thoughts? Is that a fingerprint?

That is my conundrum . . . . if it is a fingerprint I hate it. If it is bag toning I gotta have it!!

I inclined to think it's bag toning. Either way, it's a sharp looking Washington.
What does the back look like?
What is the asking price?

Reverse has a bit of rim toning, no color. Average looking. It is an auction, no telling where it is going to go . . . . I am probably not helping myself by advertising it! But again, that looks like a swirling fingerprint. Anyone ever seen bag toning look like that?

First let me say I no nothing about bag toning or fingerprints on coins....But I like to think logically. IF it was a fingerprint. The dark parts are the parts where the finger made contact. The parts still silver showing are the parts of the fingerprint that didn't touch. If my assumption is correct I would have to say its bag toning because how does the line get inside of the "O" and the "D" in In God We Trust....and also in between some of the letters...also those look like big gaps in between the lines. I'm not an expert...just what my "hunch" is...

Also,in the area behind the head it looks like a criss-crossing of the lines.

Had a little fun with a marker, put a big fingerprint on a Washington in my pocket. Now I am thinking that the coin in question indeed has a fingerprint . . . . .

That is - and I never expected to ever hear myself say this - a fingerprint which adds character to the coin.
If you'll excuse me, I need to go drink a shot of something.
Fascinating die crack in the hair.

If you know someone who works at the FBI or local PD crack it out and have them run it.
If it turns out to be Jimmy Hoffa's print it wil increase the value 10 fold.
I have found a few halves roll searching with aged fingerprint toning and have them in my reject collection for that very reason.

It has some of the characteristics of a fingerprint, but it doesn't look as if it is one to me. Yeah, that's what my old lady says, too.

I don't think it is a fingerprint. Maybe the coin was cleaned/buffed then the buff lines toned. It looks like a center-point for rotation is in-front of Washington's ear.
