It is a very strong crack in a very unique place. I'd ask for Errorcoins opinion on it. And there are other knowledgeable members that could give you a better answer then I.

I wouldn't know how much to ask for. Don't want to ask for too much and don't want to be taken advantage of. So maybe trading for a certain nickel. I don't know. I have no idea. Maybe I'll hang on to it a while longer.

Keep me in mind if you choose to let it go, thingee. We could probably do a transaction without shipping, even - if I recall correctly you're pretty close to me.

For some reason, I thought I recalled hearing you mention Wildwood at one point. I'm in A.C.; Morris County for me is more like "USPS First Class Mail" than "exchange coins over lunch."

Hi Thingee Die cracks in general do not carry a large premium over face value ,, they are looked at as a normal part of the minting process,, however certian ones will attract attention for varing reasons, and interest for whatever reason adds some value . auction style sales of these coins will put those who are interested in a position of paying according to their interest while out right sale of the coin may result in a lower amount to the seller . My suggestion for what it is worth would be to start the coin at .50 cents in the auction forum and see where it goes ,,it will sell based on collector interest and give you an Idea of general market value for interesting die cracks at least within the forum. from the bids you get you will also develope a feel for just who on the forum is interested in these types of coins. I think you probably already can see a couple from this thread ? Metalman
