It looks to me like the spike on the leaf below the R on the Reverse is in the wrong place to fit any of the descriptions in Noyes - have I missed something? Any ideas on which variety this might be? I am stumped on what to do next!
Any help would be appreciated.
Pete

I have been fooled on this one! It turns out that the "spike" was a piece of dirt! I bet I am the only one wha has ever experienced that. Feeling really dumb!

There is in fact a spike and the coin is N-9. Here is the photo without the dirt:

Hardly.

I've more than once had my heart nearly stopped by a feature on a Morgan which then blew off.
