It might be possible to make it more market acceptable by dipping it...strip off all the toning and make it a dull white. Normally, that's a BIG no-no; but this coin is already in disaster mode and a dip might help it.

the coin shop owner thought it was either in the ground or possibly in a fire. The rims are pretty banged up as well so he thought it might have been taken out of a belt buckle. He weighed it at 27 grams so he was 80% sure it was real but in its banged up state he could not be for certain.
