I'm not sure but the latest batch of Asian coins are exact copies so good luck trying to suss them out from scans/photo's.

The very weak centre strike is a pretty strong indicator.

Interesting shaped dot between Victoria and Melbourne, wonder if this will be consistent.
Be nice if it is, they have a big "I'm a Fake" sign on them.

Yeah,no doubt about it for me ! the detail especially around the riders head,the horses mane & the riders hand give it away .

Fake or not this is the worst designed commemorative florin ever of the 4 minted IMHO
I did own one but swapped it for a MS65/66 Canberra florin, $400 well spent IMHO

Blink comparison with a known genuine coin alongside reveals lots.
Same goes for comparison ring tones and weight.

I saw on a TV show the other week as regards a restored NCR cash register that the reason they put a marble facade under the keys was so the shopkeeper could test the ring tone of coins to ID slugs.
