A call to all vicky cents lovers out there, I have a 1859 with what seems to be repunched 59. Here are pictures of the date:

So is this anything special? The coin itself is an amazing coin in so many regards, but more on that later.

Upon closer inspection, there's also doubling on the 8, in case that's any help :)

I don't see anything significant there. There is a slight doubling of the 5, but nothing significant.

A lot of extra happening on the 9 and 5.. good eyes..!!

I would not want to call that "normal".. Maybe Bill has something similar in his vast cent varieties and can add to this find.

It is a little hard to tell from the photos but is this your coin? http://www.vickycents.com/rev-j23.html Check for die cracks they are like fingerprints for identifying a coin. ed

Yes, that looks a lot like it, thank you very much :D
That's why I like this forum, always someone knowledgeable to point you in the right direction.
I believe there will be some modifications necessary for that page you linked me to though. First off, to confirm that it is indeed J23, here's a closer picture of leaf 9:

Then here's a picture of leaf 2

The die crack goes on forever though, I just noticed what I believed to be a planchet flaw is the continuation of the crack:

Every die crack seems to fit description, except maybe leaf 15:

And one on leaf 7:

Now, here's where this coin becomes remarkable to me at least, and will require an update of the site for J23. Several die clash marks on the reverse:

On this last one I was able to capture 3 portions, it's quite nice:

As for the obverse, from the link I'd say it's 65a, without any crack or die clog, no die clash either. Repunch on CanaDa. Not much else going on except it has a rotation:

I don't have anything to measure it at hand, but I' say it's about 30 degrees, you can estimate from the picture, the reverse is straight.
