I opened this from my 10 pack, scan from top doesn't quite show it but there's something wrong on the rim at the bottom, like the coating or something is missing. Its actually indented in the areas in question-

The others in the pack were fine, guess I was just curious if anyone else seen something like this.

yup. saw it on a $2Shannon from the same type set I bought. all around edge of twoonie appears just like your coin!

But I am sure that the reason you saw it on a $2 coin was because of the edge lettering.

I have no idea what this could be, other than something going wrong in the rimming stage.
