1896 Five Cent Variety?

Firstly, sorry about the poor photo quality...

I have these two 1896 five cent "fish scales" and I don't know if my eyes need fixing but I think that the dates look different in size.

The one on the left seems to have a fatter 6 and the one on the right I guess you could call a wide date. Has anybody else seen this difference and do you know of it to be documented anywhere?

I do not think there are any varieties for this year. And coins and canada does not list any either. I can't really see the coin clearly from your pictures either so it's very hard to tell.

Ya sorry about the photo quality, I keep meaning to buy a new camera to take better coin photos but every time I get enough cash together I find myself spending it on coins...
I know that it's not on coins and Canada but as seen in the 1932 nickel, there could still be room for new varieties these days...

There are date varieties for 1896 in the special section of the 2010 Charlton's.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...
