Most likely they will come out with a $200 for $200 1 and a half or 2 oz silver coin before getting to the $500 coins.

It will be a 5 oz silver with a face value of $500....as opposed to a face value of $50?

Right now 5oz of silver is worth around $120, so that would be impossible unless silver dropped back down to $5/oz. Even then I would doubt it. The $20 for $20 had like 1/4oz of silver in it only!

Why do people continually comparing these coins to bullion coins? Let compare apples to apples instead of apples to oranges

5oz Stampede, 5oz farewell to penny,5oz Silver maple leaf, and 5oz keepsake are all $499.95 whereas 5oz queen and 5oz beaver are above $500.

I would possibly buy one to make a set and I think 5oz coin would be very nice looking since they are big. But what I am afraid of is that I will not be able to find a bank to cash them in if I needed to or on ebay which the fees would be around $50.

I'd buy the $500for$500 all day long, even if it was a 1/4oz silver. It's about the face value not the silver.

I would be happy to see a $5 for $5 or $10 for $10 copper coin with a nature theme.

The $10 copper coin could have silver plating.
