I travel for work all over the US and usually look up coin shops in the yellow pages wherever I am. Is there a published list of coin shops/dealers somewhere on here? If not, perhaps we could put up a link to a list by state and maybe a rating system. Mods, what do you think?
That would run into thousands, and require some member's personal knowledge of each. A pretty big effort.
Your best bet is to spend a few minutes before each trip looking up the PCGS and NGC-affiliated dealers in that area, which is easy on their individual websites.
Do you mean like a yelp style section where people can post coin shops and reviews? That would be pretty cool, of course it wouldnt stop shops from doing their own reviews so not sure how helpful it would be
I think you'ld be better off doing research on coin shows, not coin stores. If you travel and are in so many different places you should just sit down and type in coin shows in Google. Then the state your going to. You could make a list yourself of all the coin shows you plan on traveling to. And usually in those adds there are times, directions, parking fees, admittance cost, etc. For example in some states there are coin shows every weekend, all month long. You could find much better deals at a coin show than a coin store.
