i collect coins / medals with squirrels on them, and do have 6 pattern (fantasy?) Irish 25 euro coins depicting a red squirrel:

Ireland-1996-

Ireland-1996-

... but according to the certificates some of them came with, there should be one more coin in the series - a colored 5 oz one

so, I was wondering if anyone has ever seen it, because I have not - even on a photo, so am not sure if it really exist, or actually have it (and, perhaps, willing to help me complete the collection...)))...

Nice set!

Cant you tell me the size of these coins? weight & diameter?

A 5oz coin is a very big coin.

Here is some info about the pieces: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irelan...25_euro_coin That article does mention several types, including a gold piece. Note that, despite the word "coin" used in the Wikipedia article, these are privately issued medals. The earliest actual euro coins are dated 1999, and the earliest Irish ones are from 2002.

all of them are 38mm
weight (from the upper one to the one in the center clockwise):

48, 24, 20, 24, 48, 20 (g)

***

yes, I'm aware, that technically they are not coins (in a strict "legal tender" sense)... and the gold one would be just marvelous, though who can vouch the credibility of the info in that wiki article (?)...
