I don't know how well you will be able to see what I am seeing. I believe it to be something... ... Whether it is a natural occurrence or PMD I have no idea...

Looks like the dreaded Machine Doubling. The metal is shoved inward next to the rim. If you look closely to the area in question, you can see the metal striation lines from the die moving sideways. Here is a cent that shows the same thing:
