In my continuing VAMmania quest I came across this well-traveled (and bounced) 1894-O Morgan with a most interesting reverse. Is this PMD or something more exciting? (inquiring minds want to know).....

Unfortunately I'd have to say PMD, almost certainly. It appears to have been gouged with something. I don't think any process at the mint could have caused this.

The stories this coin could tell! That's why I love circulated old coins so much! Very nice

"Parting of the Seas" VAM.

"Asteroid Gouge" VAM.

"Shortcut to the Wreath" VAM.

"DMZ" VAM.

Um, no. PMD, unfortunately. But it's nice to think.

@SD... I thinking "Frogger VAM"... BTW.... I just picked my SECOND 1878-S VAM50 Lava Wing in a month... The first one came back UNC Details (Cleaned) and the second one has PL surfaces but will also probably get a "details".... Here is number two for your viewing please..
