Walking Liberty half Dollars, in my opinion. I also really like the $20 Gold St. Gaudens, although I unfortunately don't have the money to get one!

There are so many beautiful coins from all over the world so it would be hard to choose which is the best. However I would have to say for US coins my first choice would be the ASE followed by Walking Liberty half dollar. Knight of the Coin Table #56

The Walking Liberty Design for the American coins, but the other countries ie,Australia,Canada, and Mexico have a lot of beautiful coins. Making a decision on just one would be impossible.

There's so much variety out there, which is one of the reasons that makes this a great hobby. My "favorite" changes constantly. Right now I'm really liking the Indian Head eagles and fractional eagles, early 20th century. If you had asked me two months ago, or two months from now my response would be different.
Morganator, the sunrise on the 1912 Nicaragua piece you posted above is breathtaking. Nice job photographing it.

Here you go, then, baguiobookstore: I have that large enough to be your desktop wallpaper if you like. As for me, I'm in complete agreement with Thundercoin regarding US coins - the Walker and St Gaudens designs are as beautiful as anything ever struck.

A nice, rainbow Morgan is beautiful. I'm also partial to buffalos, indian head pennies, early bust halves.

Has anyone seen the 1934-1938 Texas Independence Centennial commemorative half dollar? I've only seen the picture in the Red Book of it to go by. Does anyone have one? By the way...How do they justify having 5 different year dates on a centennial? They did the same with the 'Daniel Boone Bicentennial' 1934 - 1938 and the Arkansas Centennial 1935 - 1939. But back on subject... I think the Mercury dime is a real beauty!
