Oh man I made an awesome find today in a penny roll! It's my first error coin, assuming it's authentic.. 1981 Cud cent. Do you think this is an authentic Cud and do have any idea how much it's worth in this condition?

Real deal. The weakness on the reverse shows it is genuine. With out that part of the die, the resistance doesn't form the opposite side of the coin.

Thanks for all of the help guys! Is there any way to find out how rare this guy might be? I imagine there should be a group of identical ones out there, right?

Yes, others would exist, but there would be no way to tell how many. The mint did not keep track, and most are not slabbed.

Nice find. It look like it's AU-MS condition..... You asked about price: It can range anywhere from a few dollars ($3-$5) up to $10-$12, depend on when and where you find the buyer. I do occasionally see some go up for a lot more (in a bidding war).
Note; That's my birth year so if you are interested in trading/selling then please keep me in mind.

I would think more like 20-30 bucks on ebay.
