The 20 to 25% was the number used by the salesman... It is hard to say how much of that was a pitch. You know - "even if you have a set of these on order - your odds of getting a set of 70's is 1 in 5 or 1 in 4... since we sent in our 20,000 for grading and these are the only ones we have that graded 70's".
He kind of shot that down later when they rolled out a set of 4 coins - W mint - that included yet another set of the WP coins - all graded 70's...
I agree - I believe the number of 70's to be nearer 40 or 50% simply based on the track record of the W mint.

Question: Would my unopened mint box be worth more, because it has a early shipping date, just by selling it sealed?
Or would I have to send it in and get first strike labels?

Doug for what its worth the early pcgs pop report has the rp coming in around 50 percent, they dont seem to have the enhanced one listed yet. Considering ANACS is almost always loser with its modern 70s I have a hard time believing theyd be that much lower. Maybe they are the only ones they have 70s for and theyre still waiting on the rest lol.
GR58 the unopened boxes usually do fetch a premium being sold because it lets people know you didnt cherry pick the sets and it gives them the hope there could be some 70s inside. If its FS eligible too thats a plus that will matter to some people. You could send it in yourself but if they come back 69s you just lost out on the premium. If you wanted to sell I check the unopened box premium sale prices and probably just take that instead of risking losing money getting 69s back.

I would say that WP quality is a tad better than SF
So far PCGS has graded 2174 sets (actually 2174 RP's and 2175 Enhanced)
Reverse proof 70's...1503 (69%)
Enhanced 70's........1589 (73%)
Also: my day one 103pm order just went "in stock and reserved" still with cancel box

Fox - thats more like what I would have expected. I would say those are actually highly significant numbers of 70's.
Good to see someone elses order is shipping soon! Mine is still sitting waiting for the silver to cool...

Finally! The Mint is shipping my silver eagle sets today. I ordered these things on the first day the moment they became available. I feel for those who ordered their sets near the close of the window of opportunity.

Hmmm... I haven't received any shipping notification from the mint, but I just went online and discovered that my two sets were, in fact, shipped today. w00t!

Either the quality is ramped up a few notches or the early grading was loose.... It will be interesting to see the NGC numbers which, I bet, will actually be lower...just a hunch

Quote: It will be interesting to see the NGC numbers which, I bet, will actually be lower...just a hunch Id bet theyll be the same if not a touch higher going off history. The W eagles the last few years have done VERY well. Its rare for NGC to be harder on modern coins, but not unheard of. I actually dont see the enhanced ones listed in the PCGS pop report but the other 2013 eagles are mostly 70s with the same kind of percentages.

Quote: I actually dont see the enhanced ones listed in the PCGS pop report They are not listed but if you put in a valid Cert # you can then go to coin facts and get the 69 and 70 Population
