Modern coin mart has Ngc 69 sets 2 or more $175 free ship. Pcgs 70 for $299. I think it's worth it for the 70

The two NGC graded eagles (enhanced finish and reverse proof) I ordered have arrived and they are GORGEOUS!

I cancelled all my orders when I found out the boxes the coins come in were outsourced and all the shipping dates were missed. If the mint can't even put together a little wood, paint, and plastic without having it shipped in from across the world then forget it. I'm just tired of bean counters..

Ordered a PCGS 70 set from goldmart for $289.99. I agree the extra for the 70 is worth it. Went with the West Point label and matched it with a burnished 70 with West Point label. Set includes original packaging.

I really wish I could have gone with the 70s, but the budget just didn't allow it. 69s will have to do for now.  |

So I think I'm going to hold off and save for the PCGS 70 and not settle. Does PCGS make a retro black holder or is that an NGC thing?

NGC is the only with the Retro holders, PCGS does have a variety of special labels for these though

According to the Mint page, both of my orders (for a total of 3 sets) should have shipped already (7/19 & 8/9) but both still show pending.

The 70s coins will worth the money in the long run.
I personally going for either the raw set or the 70s set.
Retro holder is ONLY from NGC like basebal21 said.
My two orders of 2 sets / ea are supposed to be shipped on 8/9/2013.... still nothing

I got tired of waiting for the mint to ship and cancelled my last 3 sets so that is 3 sets of the final production number

Take another 3 off I canceled mine as well. Mine were also showing the ship date of 8/9 with nothing. Theyre selling for 160 on ebay anyway and between free shipping and ebay bucks its basically the same price, Ill just get what I want there. |

My set just arrived. As my luck usually goes the RP has a noticeable scratch in the shield. Wouldn't think a PCGS PR70 would have that. Called and am swapping it out for a different one.

The experience we are facing regarding delay shipping from US Mint is nothing compare to RCM. We are used to the high quality of delivery service..... I was waiting for almost 6 month for the RCM to deliver a coin that was minted 100 years ago..... |
