Bought a couple of interesting cancelled Egyptian coins

They are both magnetic. I don't know why they are cancelled - they are the most recent series and should be legal tender.

They might be canceled due to quality control. An inspector might have seen some flaw and had them cancelled before they entered into circulation. Nice finds.

Hey as mmorgan22 said they were canceled because of their low quality and the writings totally effaced. but I never got any coin as bad as that in my life :D

The writing was effaced by the cancellation strike. But who knows, the legends may have been struck too weak to begin with. Either way, nice examples.
