My latest acquisition (actually belongs to my wife)
Grades; and value if you have any experience with these.
Thank you, Steve

AU53. There is very little wear on the knee and chest -- not nearly enough to knock it down to EF.

Very attractive coin that does have a bit of the circulated cameo appearance. I would grade it AU50 and value it around $125.

"Nice coin?" If you don't mind, I'm going to go ahead and call that an understatement.

Razor sharp coin! I'm in on this one at AU-50 even with the lack of luster. I'm sure if it is turned in the light you might see high lites in the protected areas. Definitely an original unmolested coin. Retail value might be in the $165-175 range.

EF-48. : ). Spactacular eye appeal. I would buy them all day long when they look like that. Common or not. Also, did you say it is your wife's? Wow! If my wife liked coins, that would be dangerous! Probably broke!

My wife was originally a "your spending $120.00 on a penny? your absolutely out of your mind!" (But hun it's a 14d); kind of girl.

But dragging her to auctions, coin shows, and my local B&M guy (who she has built a friendship with from buying me presents) finally caused her to give in.(read she learned) One day she said "I want to collect something so I can get something at the auctions". I told her choose a set and it's yours.

She choose Seated quarters? And only settles for higher grade

So I got her a Dansco and we get her a coin once in a while. The 1856 was for our wedding anniversary. I saw it and grabbed it for $140.00, without really looking into the price. Doesn't really matter, if she wanted any other thing I would have gotten it, you know.

We went to the local B&M, to get me an anniversary coin and he didn't have what I wanted so I talked her into a decent 1858 seated as well. I'll post that soon.
