I would be interested in receiving opinions as to the grade of this coin.
Thanks,
Pete

XF40. It has an interesting circular dot over the B of LIBERTY.

I don't know what to make of the circular dot - it is not mentioned in the Grellman Book. However, it is possible to see the lines to the right of Y. You might have to take the screen to higher magnification in order to see them.

I would also be interested to see a discussion of how many points to deduct for the nicks on the Obverse.

based on the location of the nicks on the obverse, the one across the eye is the most distracting as that is the area of the coin your eye is most drawn to. next distracting is under the ear. including the others, I don't think these are enough to knock it down a grade

the lighting is tough to see the nicks/scratches on the reverse properly. based on the pics, they look pretty light. the most obvious is across leaf#2.

If I was a CAC grader, I might take off 2-3 points total.
