I have had this for a long time, and always just tucked it in the back of my album. What is this Morgan dollar! Polished, PL, DMPL, I thought cleaned. There is a luster as you can see in the photos! I have never seen anything like it. Any ideas?

Polished. The shadow around all of the high point outlines is the telltale.

These are among the best and most accurate images I've ever seen to show what a polished coin looks like. You showed the "shadows" around the devices perfectly, and the miscreant who originally polished it helped by using flawless technique - fast movement of the polishing tool, and little care for the end result.
