I don't buy anything with buzz words such as "Buy with confidence.", "Rare", "Error", "Estate find", and a hundred other keywords which are red flags and synonyms for "DANGER! I'm out to rip you off.".

This particular auction has too many red flags to make me do anything more than pass it by or, if I'm in fraud fighter mode, put it on my watch list or report it to ebay. "User ID kept private" would keep me far, far way from this auction. Selling a roll of coins for less than face value is a red flag. A feedback score of only 87.5% on only 6 transactions is a red flag.

The only issue here is why anyone with an IQ above 25 would deal with this eBayer at all?

the seller has very low feedback so how can you buy with confidence?
buy + send money = receive disappointment.
i maybe wrong anyway.

If I was that low starting out I'd just start over with a new account. It will take him another 92 positives to get him around a 99%

I also dislike the long detailed stories that you find in 20 copies of the same auction from the same seller and possibly even find a copy on other auction sites too.

Here's a description I love:

AU/UNC

For example this one:

1835 Capped Bust quarter, Lustrous AU-Unc

http://cgi.ebay.com/1835-Capped-Bus...nc_W0QQitemZ290119958395QQihZ019QQcategoryZ11963QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I was under the impression that AU meant "almost uncirculated" and UNC meant "uncirculated."

Have I somehow misunderstood the meaning of the word "almost" since I learned it 40 years ago?

If so that's great news for my future as now I can plan to be "almost alive" forever.

In my other hobby of collecting old Matchbox toys, some of those ebay descriptions also defy logic. ".....except for the chipped paint and missing wheel this one is "mint". Like coin collecting there is also big dollar variations to collect, and fraudsters trying to separate you from your cash.
