Does acid bath also creat shrinkage in the coin? Thanks guys

I do not disagree with the others but it sure would be interesting to see what a pair of digital calipers had to say.
It seems strange that the one rim appears normal.
It would not account for the coin appearing to be only half the thickness. I personally would love to see an acid test to see if this dose indeed happen.
