I'll wait till I see it in hand, but there is plastic over the coin and I think it may appear to be dipped. However not sure exactly what that may look like on this coin. If this coin is high end AU wouldn't it have a lot of mint luster anyway. Thanks for all the opinions.

the obverse patina is very odd in its presentation
it could represent an older cleaning that has tarnished back over especially if it was a light dipping that did decimate the top layer of sulfide

the reverse looks stronger like there might be some luster on the devices

you'll need to judge in-hand when you receive it. I do not think it makes AU58 but certainly AU details

nice pick up and a great educational piece if cleaned/dipped so you have an example that you can reference on future coins you pick up

AU55 and a pretty nice one. I see no signs of a harsh cleaning or dipping. The obverse patina is quite heavy.

I received the coin yesterday and it is beautiful. The obverse has a blue-ish patina. I live in the Denver area and am planning on dropping off some coins at Anacs. I will definitely drop this one off. Thanks for all the input.
