I just picked up this 1936 5 cent piece and both sides are the same. It's rather neat, but just wondering what if any kind of a premium is put on a coin like this? I weighed it, and it weighs 4 grams compared to my regular ones which weigh 4.6.
Thanks for your help.

Cool. Must be some sort of Magician's coin. They are fun... they are not difficult to find, but I'm not certain what they do sell for.

if the coin is real, its worth lots of dollars, look for a splice mark on the rim.

Man...I'm really starting to dislike this whole coin thing. To many things to know and too many people ripping me off :( I think I'll have to just stick with farming

Thanks for all you're help and info.....I guess I should post these questions before I buy eh.

if the coin in question is the one on the left in your edge picture, it looks like a faint line where two halves were put together near the top.

You can see in the first pic where it is joined just inside the rim.

It may even come apart with a little "whack" to see how it was machined.

I soldered mine together, so a good whack would not ever separate it,..but it was easy to see the joint down the rim too.

Lots of good laughs though..
