Hello
Just found this dime in a roll of lincoln's.I guess it is a MAD.This would be my first MAD dime,so I'm not real familiar with all the details on a MAD dime. The rim looks weird. Is this normal for that type?
I made pictures of the whole rim.So lots of them

I am no expert on American coins but I think it it a Partial Tilted Collar.

Very nice find. It is a MAD and maybe also a rail road rim? I will be watching for a pro to chime in.Congrats on a nice find.2x2 worthy.

I believe it's a partial out-of-collar strike

It looks like it could be both, mis-aligned obv die and a partial collar strike. It also looks like it may have suffered a collar clash at some time as well.

I do not think it is a MAD at all. Looking at the edge, this coin is obviously a partial collar error and there is some collar clashing on both sides as well. The left obverse rim is wider than normal because the collar was only in place on the reverse but the planchet expanded outward on the obverse side, leading to the wider rim.

I noticed those light collar clashes also. What you said makes sense considering the partial collar. Nice coin.

Partial collar errors do not usually fetch big prices since they are typically very close to the size of a normal coin and you have to look at the rim to see the error. With that said, I think somewhere around $10 would be a reasonable value to put on it.

Very nice find!
I've never heard of a partial collar error, now I'm gonna have to keep my eye out for these.

xZackx...don't feel bad.I hate to see how many of those I put back in the wild.I almost didn't check the rim on this one.I made some pics of reverse and obverse and accidentally peeked at the rim.I make sure to check the rims on every coin from now on.
