Rooneydog,

I notice on the website that your link goes to, it has a rarity # for each coin. It is from 1-100 with 1 being not rare and 100 being the most rare. What is your opinion on that rating? Thank you so much for your help in identifying these for me, I really appreciate this!

Here's the NGC price guide

http://www.ngccoin.com/poplookup/Wo...mSearch=true

the problem is knowing the grade.

Personally I couldn't comment, I've found the best approach is to look and see what the coin is selling for and try to judge a value by this. Problem is on ebay there is so much bidding up of coins by stealth users (mates or themselves) that it seems to make a mockery of some prices.

What I am trying to say is that you really need to do the research if you want the best price.

Thank you Rooneydog! What I think my best bet is to list on E bay starting at .99 and the bids will indicate weather I have a good one or not. Because I am having a hard time with the pricing and grading beings that I am not at all a coin person. At least I can get the name of the coin from all of the smart coin people on here , then list it as such and start at .99. I have the best pics I can take and I say in the description that they have to look a the coin and judge for themselves then go from there. What do you think?
And of course I am hoping on you telling me "WOW that is a awesome coin and very valuable"! on one coin I list before then end . LOL
Rest in Peace

pinkgeek: What I really hated when I was still bidding on ebay was for a seller to post fuzzy photos and then tell bidders to "judge for themselves".

Pardon me for being critical, but your photos are not what I'd hope to judge the grade of a coin from. Even a scanned pic of a coin will show more detail than many actual photos. And of course several scans or good photos will help the bidder judge more accurately and even attract bidders to your auctions.

I have a really cheap digital camera - I set it to highest setting and produce something like this.

Wow! Great pic! And don't worry about being critical, that is what I want! I can take it. I much rather truth then sugar coating things. LOL
So my question is....when I upload pics on here it tells me it is to big, so it re sizes for me with the "Image re-sizer" so does that take from it? Or am I still doing something wrong? I have a cool pix L120 and I set it at highest resolution and use the macros setting. What do you think?

You weren't kidding! I never would have thought to scan the coins until you said that. So I tried and way better I think. What do you think?
