It is an issue of Muhammad shah the Mughal.The regnal year is 17.Mint name is Shahjahanabad with epiphet "Dar ul khilafat".

Andyg has correctly identified the coin.

Didn't know Mughals used Persian writings.
I thought they used Arabic.

We cannot call them absolutely Persian too. We can better call them "Perso Arabic" rather. Arabic punctuation marks are different from what we can find on Mughal coins. A little bit of Urdu influence also is there in the latter issues. Here is a link discussing on books useful to decipher script on Mughal coins.Hope that will be useful.
