I verified the cert on NGC The coin on NGC cert verification looks different than the pics from seller. What do you guys think?

congratulations on getting your first gold coin.

I am not sure I understand .. you posted that the NGC pictures look different .. are you concerned something might be wrong?

Most cases if you are buying a slab coin .. then you should be okay.

I was little concerned. NGC pic looks different around the stars than sellers. But maybe its thevlighting. Just was looking for reassurance.

I don't see a problem. NGC is using ringlighting, illuminating the coin from all directions, and the seller is lighting from one direction. That accounts for the difference in appearance. Further, have a look below the obverse star at about 3:30 - there's *something* there, on the coin, and I see it on both examples. If he accepted a Best Offer on his asking price, you didn't do too bad here.

Congratulations on your first gold purchase. Now you'll have to watch out once you get it that you don't wear out the slab handling it so much while you enjoy owning a real American gold piece.
