I'm in at MS64. Just a little too much chatter in the fields for 65. Beautiful coin none the less!!

MS63+ the cheek looks like it was thumbed in the past. Might get kicked to AU58 for that at a TPG, but would probably pass into MS grade, I don't think it would crack the MS63 barrier though, if you send it in to a TPG be sure to let us know. I'm seeing a duller grey area on the cheek along with a pretty deep looking though small hit as well keeping out of the MS64 range.

BUMP for those who commented. Unfortunately this is the only one in my batch that came back details- cleaned. Any thoughts on why? it fooled me in hand, the luster was exceptional, and no prominent hairlines. Perhaps the dull cheek westcoin pointed out was the reason.

I don't see any harsh cleaning signs in the photos. It may have been dipped, but as for cleaning hard to tell without having the coin in hand.

Does not look cleaned to me - maybe they saw hairlines under high magnification ?

It would probably get through on a crack out resubimission. I've cracked out dollars from 64 holders and had them come back cleaned, I don't think the the TPGs are very consistant on cleaned coins yet. I haven't played the crack out game in over a decade because so many I was resubmitting were getting body bagged at PCGS (before they slabbed them as detail graded coins). Cost too much for the percentage I was hitting upgrades on.

Have a close look at the reeding. It might have been dipped, and one pro-tip telltale of dipping is twin places in the reeding where tongs were used to hold the coin - everything else will be "clean" but there will be those two places which still show spots of toning because the tongs prevented the thiourea from contacting the coin.
