Some environmental corrosion and then cleaned, but appears genuine to me...

definitely in the elements at some point or stored improperly. such a shame as this coin is a high grade. looks to me to be EF45 which would be about $1000 coin if not corroded. this coin might clean up a little with an acetone batch and V-Care. a lot of it may be just on the surface. could be a gamble that pays off. I've never done a coin that looks like this so maybe we can get some other comments on it

Personally, I don't like it. I'm going to do a little research...
Alright, research done, mintmark looks okay. The angle of the picture isn't helping.
Anyway, I don't like it, I wouldn't touch it. It looks cast to me and it'd be WAY to easy to do a cast copper fake. A lot of counterfeiters rely on making you look at other things (they weather fake coins to distract you, for instance).
In this case, unless you know the seller well, well... I wouldn't touch it. And even then, I'd send it in for a genuine grade to make sure.
Just my opinion!

I put it up for opinion cause I was wondering if it was cast. I really got nothing in it. Just wanted to know here some opinions. I want to put it on ebay but didn't want to do it if it was fake.

See if you can send it in for a genius holder..... That will validate your concern (ANACS is having a promotion of $13/coin). It would help you sell the coin also....

I bought a near complete lincoln set 1909-1958 only missing 1909svdb and 1922 no d. This with no detailed photos om ebay so wasn't expecting much amd got it cheap $228. I pretty sure I can get at least $250 not counting this coin.

Looks real to me ...a little rough though but still looks decent enough to put in album.

Looks real, no red flags I spy.

Really damaged surfaces, but everything seems to be in the right place and none of the damage immediately seems to be from counterfeit manufacturing processes.
Unless putting it under the microscope or an XRF analysis shows otherwise, I'd think this one is legit.

Real has my vote. Most fakes are made by messing with a 4 on a 44. This one appears real enough.
