Good day All,
Would appreciate comments re the grade of the 3 following South African coins.

The 1948 looks like it has a rim nick, but on closer inspection it would appear there ws a problem with the blank prior to minting, some form of impurity.
Attached is an image showing this from the obverse, rim and then reverse.

Any comments/feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and regards,
Mike.

Thanks to Joseph7420 for responding.
Your input is really appreciated.

Was hoping for some more responses and especially an answer to the "impurity query".

Rgds,
Mike.

I agree that the coins are listed in descending detail grade order and that the third one is EF. The second is definitely an AU, but the first could make MS. As to the defect I would say that it is a planchet flaw, in the metal prior to minting.

AU+/EF/VF, larger clear pictures could add (or subtract) 5 points
