I was hoping this one as a MS65, because I see many MS65 Certified by NGC which has 5-6 marks on chicks and those are MS65...I dont understand.

MS 65 is gem UNC meaning an almost perfect coin yours is very close and I would say a 64 on the obverse 65 on the reverse, overall a good 64

Quote: because I see many MS65 Certified by NGC which has 5-6 marks on chicks and those are MS65 at the TPG level: different days, different coins, different "mood" of the grader can sometimes be the difference between one grading point. Also keep in mind its more than the cheeks; its the whole coin. Mirrors, devices, strike etc... grading is subjective and unless you're seeking resale value or authentication, you do not need to send to a TPG and seasoned collectors like you'll find here on CCF, will guide you to learn what you have and help you get better at calling yourself in the future.

Good size hit on the cheek and much chatter in the fields. Nice MS-64.

I'm with the others on this one. Really close to 65 but that cheek hit is pretty good and for me I have to give it a 64

It looks like a MS-63 with the possibility of MS-64. I see too many marks and luster grazes on the cheek to grade MS-65.

MS 63 might stretch to 64 grade.
