1941-S Mint Mark Location

I have a couple of 1941-S Mercury dimes and I noticed that the mint mark on both is not in the same location. On one the S is touching the leaf and the other it has noticeable gap between the S and the leaf.

Have any of you Mercury dime specialists noticed this or is it something that's not significant?

Back then, mint marks were punched into the individual dies, so exact positioning varied from one die to the next. This is nothing unusual.

You find this most prominent on pre-1990 Lincoln Cents.
