I just received my bronze Allegory today from Canada Post, and I'm bummed. The coin has some specks on it. Granted, I've received and kept coins that had these minor blemishes before but I don't know what to do this time. The coin capsule is cracked at the edge. There's a noticeable brown dot on the coin that kind of bugs me. Above all that there's pretty noticeable scratches on it too. I've included pictures below. The brown dot is hard to capture. I've never returned coins to Canada Post Philatelic before, and wondering if anyone has and has advice to offer. Is it too much of a hassle? Do I have to pay for the return shipping?

I'm tired. My neighbour is blasting Starbucks music, and now I feel like an iced latte.

Have you call them to ask? Do you live close to Canada Post that have the same coin for sale?
There may be other ways around it... Just saying...

I haven't called yet. The invoice says I have 10 days for a refund or exchange so I thought I'd consult with you guys first.

I've called a few CPs in the area but none carry this coin

@Sw3dish ch3f,

It is very simple. I did return my 2 defected dinosaur coins to CPP.

First you have to call and tell them you want to return coins for whatever reason.
They will file the return information on their system and give you the "Return Number".

Next, All you have to do is put the coin (of course will box and COA)back to the original parcel with a copy of your invoice. Sealed the parcel. Remember to write down the "Return Number" on the top or side of the Parcel.

Drop the parcel to your local post office and tell this is return parcel to CP.

That's all. You will your money back in 2 weeks.

Good Luck!

Do you have to pay the return postage?

And is there any proof that I have sent a coin back? Like a tracking number?

I called CPP today. The rep took down my info and reasons for wanting to exchange the coin. He said someone will contact me and give me a return number. I just checked the CP website and I no longer see the bronze allegory anymore. I think I may be out of luck
