It's late Roman, a bronze coin of emperor Valens (ruled AD 365-378). Minted in Siscia, a city now known as Sisak, Croatia.
Late Roman bronzes aren't all that expensive, unless the emperor is particularly scare (which it isn't in this case). You can usually buy them in nice condition like this, full identifiable, for $5 to $10.

Valentinian I, all too common SECVRITAS REIPVBLICAE-Siscia mint type. No Patina left. In reality they sell in Lots for around $1.50 each, but I see some sellers on ebay asking $34 for such an example. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Valentinian...261163178413
