I have a coin which is about 25mm and covered in what appears to be roman concrete.

The reverse is probably the godess with bull and lion, I can make out the letters which are P M S COL VIM,( Goddess standing, bull and lion at sides).

The obverse is even worse and someone who had it before me has "had a go at cleaning" and left it in a mess. I can't read any letters yet, the bust is facing right and appears to be wearing a shawl/blanket (I don't know the correct terminology.

No photos available at this time. Old software doesn't work with Windows 8 and can't make photos small enough to pose.

Anybody point me in the right direction?

The coin is from Viminacium in Moesia Superior and could be one of several emperors from Gordian III to Gallienus.

Here is a web site that will help you ID the coin. http://www.muntenmuseum.nl/viminaci...inacium.html

CCF does have a Free Image Optimizer to help with resizing the images. Its just below the box for typing text.
