It isn't an actual coin. It is a class of object known as a Southeast Asian "Islamic pilgrim token", or a "magic coin". The figure is a somewhat stylized pilgrim, on his way to Mecca. The word repeated seven times on the reverse is "Yasin", taken from Sura 36 of the Quran. Have a look at this zeno.ru database page and you'll find several different types of this coin, including a couple with designs very similar to yours.

I don't; I only copy the information I find on places like zeno.ru and elsewhere, where the Arabic is not only helpfully translated for me (these Southeast Asian tokens are notorious for having rather badly written Arabic; a Westerner like me has a very hard time trying to translate them with only a "How to Translate Arabic coins" book for help), but often helpfully explained. In this case, once I was told what the word was supposed to be, Wikipedia was most helpful in explaining the significance of the word.

It also helps that these curious objects turn up on the forum quite frequently; I've tried to translate them more than once. Here's an old thread; the pictures in this thread have expired but it was a similar piece.
